One of your favorite Philadelphia bands of all time (I am, of course, talking about the Hooters) may not be all that active these days, but their drummer, Dave Uosikkinen (no, I have no idea how to pronounce it either) sure has been keeping busy. A while back, he launched Songs In The Pocket, a series of reinterpretations of “essential songs of Philadelphia,” benefitting Settlement Music School, and this Saturday, he and Ben Arnold, Jeffrey Gaines, and Tommy Conwell (to name a few) will play the catalog at Brownie’s in Ardmore. Tickets are $20 to $45, so go here to buy some and support a worthy musical cause.
